Network Rail has recently submitted a Prior Approval application for the provision of a stepped footbridge at Lostwithiel Station.

The proposed development seeks to provide a new steel footbridge to improve pedestrian access between Platforms 1 and 2 and also along Grenville Road when the level crossing is closed.

According to the application "The scheme is designed to enhance safety, accessibility, and the overall passenger experience, while being sensitive to the heritage context of the station and its surroundings."

The Supporting Statement provides a comprehensive assessment of the proposal, including its heritage context, design rationale, and compliance with relevant national and local planning policies.

The associated plans illustrate the design of the proposed footbridge, the location and relationship to the existing station infrastructure.
