Royal Wedding celebrations

Friday 29th April 2011

Numerous Royal Wedding festivities will be taking place around Lostwithiel to celebrate the marriage of Prince William and Catherine Middleton on 29th April 2011.

The Community Centre are holding a full day of events to celebrate the Royal Wedding. Starting with the wedding being displayed on a Big Screen at the Produce Market at 11am, all are invited to a free sparkling toast to the Royal Couple and children can take part in a Little Prince/Princess competition.

Following the wedding there will be a tea party (outdoors if the weather is fine) from 1.30 to 3pm, then a Charity Dinner by invitation and to round the evening off, a Hog Roast and Dance with live music from 8pm until late.

Other celebrations will be taking place around town. The Lostwithiel Social Club are holding an indoor street party to celebrate the wedding with music and food on April 29th.

Bellamama Deli will be kicking off celebrations on Thursday 28th April: Sue and the team will be cooking a massive paella outside the deli (weather permitting) to begin the Royal wedding celebrations (hoorah!) on Thursday 28th April. It will be ready at about 6pmish so come along to start the festivities.
