Nanadobbie voted UK top 5 vintage shops

Friday 10th February 2012

Nanadobbie, the Lostwithiel based vintage interiors specialists, has had its Brighton shop voted one of the UK’s top 5 Vintage Shops by readers of BBC Homes & Antiques magazine.

The magazine invited readers to nominate their favourite antiques businesses as part of National Antiques Week in November last year.

Nanadobbie Brighton, based in the fashionable North Laines area, has been shortlisted alongside 4 other retailers for the Vintage Shops Award.

Owned and run by father and daughter team Mike and Alys Dobbie, Nanadobbie was first established in Lostwithiel in 2006. A second shop was opened in Stoke Newington in 2009, moving on to Brighton late in 2010.

Over the same period, Nanadobbie has established a strong website presence with a large customer base of subscribers to its monthly newsletter and growing internet sales.

"A great deal of work has gone into building the Nanadobbie name,"says Alys Dobbie, Brighton shop Manager. "Many customers have shopped with us from day one and this award is a great recognition of customer loyalty. We’re delighted to have got this far."

The overall winner of the Award will be announced by Kirstie Allsopp at The Bath Decorative and Antiques Fair on March 8th.
