Man Engine NOT returning to Lostwithiel

Monday 19th March 2018

The ‘Afternooner’ and ‘Afterdarker’ events that were scheduled for Lostwithiel on Monday 2nd April have been relocated to the Royal Cornwall Showground in Wadebridge. This is due to high levels of rain and snow in recent months, which has led to waterlogged ground on the King George V Playing Fields and surrounding land allocated for parking.

For all those who have booked for Lostwithiel, you need to go to and select an alternative Man Engine event to attend. You will be able to choose from any of the following venues, with the Afternooner gates opening at 12pm and the Afterdarker gates opening at 6.30pm.

31st March 2018 – Geevor Tin Mine, Pendeen

1st April 2018 – Heartlands, Redruth

2nd April 2018 – Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge

3rd April 2018 – Tavistock, Devon

6th April 2018 – Radstock, Somerset

Will Coleman, the creator of The Man Engine, said: “We were all very much looking forward to revisiting Lostwithiel, and we know that this move to the Royal Cornwall Showground will cause hassle for people having to re-plan travel for themselves and their families, and for that we’re most sorry. But we really hope people will understand our predicament and reschedule their day to either head up to Wadebridge or one of our other Cornish, Devon or Somerset stops.”
