Local resident Sarah Jane, owner of The Glamour Academy, has been named a finalist in the national Hair & Beauty Awards, beating tens of thousands of applicants.

Sarah described the selection as a win for the entire community. Writing on Instagram she said "We’re beyond proud to share that The Glamour Academy has been shortlisted as a 2026 Finalist at the Official UK Hair and Beauty Awards. Being acknowledged on a national level is an incredible honour, and we couldn’t have done it without the continued support of our amazing clients, and community..”  Sarah is the only 1:1 salon owner who both lives and works in Lostwithiel.
