Lostwithiel Neighbourhood Plan reaches another milestone

Friday 16th March 2018

Over the past three years residents will be aware that Lostwithiel Town Council has been preparing a Neighbourhood Plan. A significant milestone has now been reached in that the plan is now ready for formal Public Consultation which will start on Saturday March 24th and last for 6 weeks.

Copies of the Plan and the summary will be available at an exhibition to be held in The Community Centre on Saturday 24th March from 2pm to 4pm. Copies will also be available on-line and in the Library, Church and Community Centre.

The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group will then look at the responses and make changes that are required, before  producing the Submission Draft. The Submission Draft will then be presented to Cornwall Council who will conduct their own public consultation. The Neighbourhood Plan will be scrutinised by the ‘Independent Examiner’. It must be shown that there is support for these changes if they are to be accepted by the Examiner for inclusion in the final Neighbourhood Plan.

Your responses will help determine how Lostwithiel develops up to 2030. Deadline for responses is Midday on Sunday May 6th 2018.
