Lostwithiel Draft Plan

Thursday 8th October 2026

The draft plan for Lostwithiel is out now, and Lostwithiel Town Council is seeking public feedback.

The document, titled the Lostwithiel Neighbourhood Priorities Statement, (NPS) includes several key areas:

• Shares the council's vision for the town's future.
• Defines the types of housing developments needed for the future.
• Shows how the council is trying to preserve Lostwithiel's history and heritage.
• Describes how the council is trying to influence the type and look of new builds.
• Maps 32 sites around the town, assessing potential for development, parking, and industrial use.
• Identifies areas the community holds dear and wants to protect from development.

Copies of the NPS can be viewed online or collected from the Community Centre, Library, Penhaligons, or the Medical and Dental practices.

Members of the public are invited to submit their views of the proposals before 23 November by completing the questionnaire found in the printed document or via Online Form   or this PDF Form.

Three community consultation events are also being held:

• Edgcumbe House: Saturday 17 October, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
• The Guildhall: Monday 2 November, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
• Edgcumbe House: Wednesday 18 November, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
