From Punk to Hope – A Retrospective of Elaine Foster-Gandey - Part of the Lost in Art Festival

Lostwithiel’s Lost in Art Festival will feature a striking new exhibition, From Punk to Hope, showcasing the work of Cornwall-based artist Elaine Foster-Gandey. This retrospective brings together pieces from the artist’s rich archive alongside new and unique works, offering an intimate look at her evolving creative journey.

The exhibition spans Elaine’s practice from her punk-influenced beginnings to more recent explorations of resilience and renewal including details of Elaine’s socially engaged sculpture ‘Hope – Weaving Communities Together’ exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 2024, bringing international recognition to her collaborative, community-based approach to making.

The show  launches with a Private View on Thursday 11th September, 5–8pm, and continues Friday 12th – Saturday 20th September, 10am–5pm daily.
