Information for our Patients – Future Appointment Booking.

"From the beginning of April we are changing the way that we book your appointments.

We have reviewed the number of routine telephone and face to face appointments that we currently have, and looked at ways to increase the number of routine appointments available. The aim is to reduce the number of patients that are booked on the telephone triage list into an “on the day” appointment when a routine appointment would be more appropriate.

We are excited to introduce the new way of accessing your GP and Nurse services in the Practice.  There will be a smaller telephone triage list which will be for urgent “on the day” problems, which will be assigned to one member of the clinical team each day. If a face-to-face appointment is then needed there will be a number available across all clinics throughout the day.

This is going to allow us to provide more routine and pre-bookable appointments both telephone and face to face.

So, if you have been asked to book a follow-up telephone or face to face appointment to, for example, discuss results of a test, or see how you are doing on a new medication then please book in plenty of time and we should be able to book a routine appointment.

If you have a routine query, you could be offered a telephone call or face to face appointment within two weeks if not sooner.

Please be patient with us as this is rolled out and please feel free to get in touch with the Practice Manager – Amanda – about your experience of the new system. Good or bad!   Please call or email ciosicb.lostenq "AT" nhs.net  "
