Lostwithiel Beer Festival 2010

Saturday 13th March 2010

The 7th Lostwithiel Charity Beer Festival held on Saturday 13th March between 11am and 11pm was a huge success with 20 different types of beer on offer and more than 25 barrels of beer sold out.

The event which was organised by Lostwithiel Rotary Club was the biggest and busiest yet, with around £3000 raised for charity.

Drinkers were able to watch the rugby on a large screen during the afternoon, then in the evening enjoy musical entertainment from a London band.  A large new stage and lighting was set up in the Community Centre for the Jackie Lynton Band which included local musician and former member of Mungo Jerry, Paul King.

The Rotary Club will be meeting later in the month to decide what charities will benefit from the money raised.
