Lostwithiel Community Centre: September 2026 Newsletter
Thursday 10th September 2026
As the summer comes to an end, the Centre will soon be full of many of the regular sessions that paused over the holidays, alongside lots of new activities. From pottery and filmmaking to languages, art and activities for younger children, there’s something for all ages happening throughout the week.
It’s wonderful to see the Centre being used in so many different ways, and we’d like to thank everyone who helps make that possible.
A small reminder for everyone using the Centre: please make sure you book all the time you need in a room, including time for setting up and packing away, rather than just the time of your class or activity. This helps us know who is in the Centre at any given time, understand how our spaces are being used, plan effectively and, importantly, ensure we’re covering the costs of running the Centre through room hire income.
Remember, rooms can be booked in 15-minute increments, so you only need to book the additional time you actually need.
There are lots of ways to get involved at the Centre, and this is an exciting time to join our growing community.
With this year’s Lost In Panto cast and dancers coming together, we’re looking forward to another fantastic production. We’re particularly looking for someone who would like to help lead on the pantomime raffle and make it something really special this year. If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re also still looking for a Secretary to join our Board of Trustees. It’s a really exciting moment for the Centre, with lots of positive changes taking place and a lovely team working behind the scenes. If you’re organised, enjoy working with people and would like to play a part in the Centre’s future, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
For volunteering opportunities or more information about the Secretary role, please email chair@lostwithielcommunitycentre.org.
Annual General Meeting
Our Annual General Meeting will take place on Thursday 15th October at 7pm.
We’ll be sharing an update on the Centre and looking ahead to the year to come. The meeting will be followed by a little reception in the café, so please come along, hear what’s been happening and join us for a drink and a chat.
We hope to see you there
