Lost In Film's February main film will be Tully...

... a razor-sharp study of motherhood held together by a powerhouse performance from Charlize Theron. Marlo (Theron) is struggling to cope following the arrival of baby number three and feeling like “an abandoned trash barge,” when in desperation she calls the nanny her wealthy brother has paid for as a gift. When ‘millennial Mary Poppins’ Tully (Mackenzie Davis) arrives, the two women strike up an instant bond and the nanny gives Marlo a window into her own carefree past life. Tully is emotionally complex and bleakly funny with Charlize Theron giving an outstanding performance as a mother who finds a lifeline back from the brink.

a tragicomic triumph” Wendy Ide, The Guardian

“this is both a witty and a very poignant film about a subject –  the stresses and joys of modern motherhood –  that Hollywood has rarely gone so near before” Geoffrey Macnab, The Independent
