Open Studios Cornwall: Lostwithiel

The South East Cornwall region of Open Studios Cornwall 2026 features a cluster of talented artists in and around Lostwithiel.   The artists with reference numbers 41 through 44 are located very close to one another, making it easy to visit them in a single trip.

 

41. Wild Blue Studio

  • Artist: Primarily featuring lino printmaking.

  • Specialty: Fun, colourful designs inspired by the Cornish coast and nature. The artist hand-prints onto organic T-shirts, children's clothes, and recycled card stock using eco-friendly inks.

  • Studio Info: This is a "plastic-free" studio that emphasizes "slow" handmade production.

  • Location: Near St. Winnow School (park in the side road opposite).

  • Opening Dates: 23rd to 25th May and 29th to 31st May


42. Meriel Chudleigh

  • Specialty: Ceramics.

  • Work: Meriel focuses on terracotta slipware and wood-fired stoneware. Her pieces often blend traditional techniques with functional, earthy aesthetics.

  • Opening Dates: 23rd to 31st May


43. Sara Owen

  • Specialty: Abstract Painting & Drawing.

  • Work: An abstract painter who works with colour, form, and chance. Her work is often inspired by the landscape around Cornwall, as well as small details like stones and patterns. She uses pencil, ink, and oil paints to express memories of her surroundings.

  • Location: The studio is situated in the garden of Stannary House on Quay Street (PL22 0BS), with parking available along the river.

  • Opening Dates: 23rd to 31st May


44. Roberta Hopkins

  • Specialty: Mixed Media, Painting, and Printmaking.

  • Work:   Originally training as a graphic designer, and more recently enjoying a successful business as a jewellery designer, Roberta been working with print and paint since lockdown

  • Opening Dates: 23rd to 25th May and 29th to 31st May

Visiting Tips for Lostwithiel:

  • Dates: The main event runs from May 23 to May 31, 2026.

  • Core Hours: Studios are open from 11 am to 5 pm. Some studios open for all 9 days  and some studios open for 6 days. See listings above for details.

  • Walkable Cluster: Because these four studios (41–44) are all within the Lostwithiel area, you can easily walk between several of them, particularly those located near the town center and the river.
