Creative Writing for Wellbeing – Finding Glimmers Every Days


You cannot get creative writing for wellbeing wrong. It has nothing to do with spelling, syntax, plot structure or character development and includes everything involved with exploration, fun, creativity and discovering what you like to write.

‘Glimmers’ are small moments that spark joy or peace, which can help cue our nervous system to feel safe or calm. They will be different for everyone and in this creative writing for wellbeing session we will explore what they might be for you, how to recognise them and make the most of them.   Using nature as our inspiration we’ll incorporate glimmers into some writing – short exercises which will give you the space to explore your own creativity.

Your tutor Jacqui has been writing since she was about seven, mainly poetry, journals and short stories.  She was terrified of reading out loud in school, but loved being a book-a-holic and writing.   Over the years she has learnt that her best writing comes from connecting with experience and allowing that to find it’s way onto paper.    She will lead the workshop and explore with you the impact creative writing can have on your wellbeing.

Please bring with you a notebook and pen.

Please note that the course is held upstairs, up a flight of steep steps but once there, you will have everything you need.
Should you need to cancel the workshop a full refund will be issued if 14 days prior to the workshop. If cancelled with less than 14 days until the workshop unfortunately no refund will be issued If for any reason, we have to cancel the workshop a full refund will be issued, or you can transfer onto the next available course.
