Lost Cottage Cornwall
Lost Cottage is a typically small, granite and slate, Cornish cottage. You’ll find it right in the heart of the Medieval town of Lostwithiel.
This ancient stannary town dates back to the 12th century, yet it's one of the most vibrant and lively communities in Cornwall. The London to Penzance mainline railway stops here, the station is a short stroll over the ancient bridge, making it possible to leave your car at home. If you do choose to arrive by car, parking in Lostwithiel is free both on-street and in the public car parks.
Originally built in the 1800's as the 'wash house' serving what was then the Talbot Hotel on North Street the property has undergone a total renovation this year and now blossomed into Lost Cottage, a lovely, comfortable, 2 double bedroomed cottage, perfectly placed for exploring the town, the beautiful surrounding countryside, and the rest of Cornwall.
Lost Cottage sleeps up to 4 adults, the larger bedroom having a king size bed which zips apart to become two singles if required and has a downstairs shower room/WC. The small modern kitchen has a washer/dryer, 2 ring induction hob, fridge/freezer, microwave combi oven and dishwasher although there are so many wonderful places to eat out or take away from within just a minute’s walk, you won't want to spend your holiday in the kitchen.
In the comfortable lounge there’s a smart TV and a cosy dining area. Superfast wi-fi is included for those times when you want to relax and indulge in some surfing that doesn’t involve catching a wave.
On arrival you’ll find a welcome basket of Cornish goodies as well as some staples to get your first day off to a flying start - fresh local farm eggs, bread from the local Deli and Cornish butter.
For coffee lovers there’s a Bosch Tassimo coffee machine with a selection of complimentary pods with yet more available from the Co-Op only 100 metres away.
