Lostwithiel Carnival - Carnival Parade

Saturday 26th July 2014, 6:00pm to 11:00pm

Location: King George V Playing Field and around town

Entrants of all ages will be showcasing a wonderful display of talent, costumes and floats in the Carnival

Start the day by taking part in the "Spot the Stranger" competition from 09:30am until 2pm. Download the entry form.

The Carnival Procession assembles in King George V Playing Field by 5:45pm for judging at 6:00 pm, then moves off at 6:30pm, led by the Mayor, Rotary President and Town Band.

The parade follows Liddicoat Road (main A390) to Fore Street, then down around the Parade and up North Street, down Fore Street again, over the bridge and rail crossing, and finally up the hill to the Earl of Chatham.

Prizes for the winners will be presented in the Earl of Chatham car park, along with the Spot The Stranger competition winner and July's 200 Club draw.

Music then starts with live band Tankslapper playing outside until 11:00pm. Drinks and refreshments, including a hog roast, will be available throughout the evening.

The spectacular grand Firework display by Trelawney Fireworks will take place when it gets dark at about 10:00pm.
