Lostwithiel Neighbourhood Plan Enters the Final Stages

Saturday 8th September 2018

Three years ago Lostwithiel Town Council published the first Neighbourhood Plan Newsletter inviting suggestions for how housing should develop in Lostwithiel up to the year 2030.

The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group has spent the last three years developing the draft Neighbourhood Plan and consulting local residents at every stage. After each consultation we have made changes to the draft Plan in response to comments received from residents of Lostwithiel.

Cornwall Council is now consulting residents and other interested stakeholders on the plan for the Lostwithiel Parish area. Consultation  runs between Wednesday 29 August and Wednesday 10 October 2018.

You can comment by

- emailing Cornwall Council at neighbourhoodplanning@cornwall.gov.uk,

- typing the Neighbourhood Planning application number PA18/00019/NDP into Cornwall Council’s online planning register on their website www. cornwall.gov.uk

- writing to: Planning & Sustainable Development (Neighbourhood Planning), Cornwall Council, 3rd Floor North, Zone B, Pydar House, Pydar Street, Truro, Cornwall TR1 1XU.

Following the 6-week consultation period, the representations will be collated and sent for independent examination. If the Examiner believes that the Neighbourhood Plan meets all of its requirements a referendum will take place which will allow residents to decide whether the Neighbourhood Plan should be used by the Council to determine planning applications in the Lostwithiel area.
