Blossom Social Group

Thursday 21st March 2019, 11:00am

Location: Lostwithiel Community Centre Cafe

A new group has begun meeting in Lostwithiel at the Community Centre Cafe on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 11am.

It is especially for anyone who is suffering from chronic ill-health (mental or physical), or who
is feeling isolated at the moment, for whatever reason.

Almost everyone at some time in their life feels isolated, through ill-health, life events or anxieties, and this group hopes to reach as many people as possible, to offer mutual support over a cuppa in a relaxed atmosphere. We all have something to offer other people through our experiences, knowledge and company. To be able to talk to other people is vital for everyone's mental well- being, and Blossom provides a relaxed, supportive place where all have a voice.

Meeting new people can feel scary at first, but also widens our horizons, and helps share useful and practical advice and information about various agencies and facilities available. This group will be an opportunity to socialise with others in a similar situation. There is no pressure to speak, just a friendly welcome. It is often difficult to get out and meet others; Blossom is a gentle, local place to start. Just turn up and say hello.
