Hidden Valley Gardens wins tourism award

Tricia Howard manages the gardens, while husband Peter handles the publicity.

Peter Howard said "We were up against last year's winner so we were very pleased to win silver. It's wonderful and I'm really pleased for Tricia. The garden gives us a great deal of work - but also great pleasure. We get even greater pleasure from meeting our garden visitors and winning this award is the icing on the cake. We hope it encourages others to find the Hidden Valley and discover our secret treasure."

The report from the Cornwall Tourism Awards 'mystery shopper' showed that Hidden Valley Gardens scored very high to outstanding on all criteria including welcome, access, facilities, features, children's quiz, interest and of course, plants, planting, design and colour, with maximum marks on value.
