Rotary Club were obliged last year to change the route of the Senior Pram Race in order to comply with changes in traffic legislation. This year the route has been refined to avoid having two-way traffic at the North Street entrance into the Cattle Market car park. Instead of coming back through the car park after visiting the Community Centre, teams will now route through the KGV Playing Field to re-emerge at the medieval bridge, travelling back up North Street past the Globe Inn a second time.

As usual, there will be two classes, both starting and finishing in Parade Square.

Junior Class: under 18 year’s old, start time 6:15pm (parental consent on entry form is essential).

Senior Class: 18 years and over, starting after the junior race finishes at around 6.30pm.

Entry forms must be returned to either Penhaligons or Fran’s Pantry by 3pm on Tuesday 22nd July. Please note that entries may not be accepted on the day. Teams are asked to be at the start at least 30 minutes before their start time.

Road closures will be in place within the main part of the town, but the Cattle Market Car Park, the A390, Bodmin Hill and Duke Street will all remain open to other traffic. Stewards will be in place to invite drivers to slow down and stop, but prams do not have automatic right of way in these areas.
