LFDT: Can Lostwithiel and district feed itself?

Wednesday 10th March, 7:30pm to 9:00pm

Location: Community Centre

The Lostwithiel Forum Development Trust is holding the first of its public meetings in partnership with Transition Lostwithiel and the Eden Project. The meeting will include presentations and discussions studying the food self reliance our town and district can achieve based on land availability and how it is used.

Guest speakers will talk about some of the elements that need to be addressed to help us get a clearer picture of what we can do to achieve more local food resilience.

Topics such as; How local is local? Can we all benefit from more structured co-operation and production? Are biofuels a local option? Do our growers need to diversify more? Can we adopt micro production facilities?

More information is available on the Forum website and also in the Platform Office, the Library and the Community Centre. Attendance is free. To help us with numbers can you please confirm your attendance by emailing events@lostwithielforum.org or calling 01208 871591
